Anticipating failures means protecting your operations
Preventive maintenance makes it possible to identify signs of wear, electrical faults, battery issues and risks of downtime before they affect the operation of your facility.
More than a periodic inspection, it is a way to ensure continuity, safety and predictability in systems where power cannot fail.
Preventive Maintenance Plans
Choose the right level of maintenance for your operations.
Level 1
Essential Preventive Maintenance
For clients seeking technical compliance and basic reliability. Suitable for small- and medium-capacity UPS systems installed in moderately critical environments.
Includes:
One annual preventive maintenance visit;
Full visual inspection of the UPS and associated switchboard;
Inspection of the general condition of power modules, ventilation systems and filters;
Inspection of electrical connections, including input, output and battery connections;
Measurement of input and output voltages;
Measurement of the total battery bank voltage;
Review of alarms and event history;
Functional testing, where applicable;
Light internal cleaning, without extensive dismantling;
Technical service report with recommendations;
Not included:
Parts, batteries, corrective labour, emergency assistance or remote monitoring.
Level 2
Advanced Preventive Maintenance
For organisations requiring greater control, prevention and technical support. Suitable for SMEs, industry, healthcare, IT environments and medium- or high-capacity UPS systems.
Includes everything in Level 1, plus
Two preventive maintenance visits per year;
Individual battery condition analysis, including voltage per block/string;
Functional test with mains failure simulation;
Detailed inspection of fans, capacitors and electronic boards;
Load balancing check, where applicable;
Inspection of static and manual bypass systems;
Fine-tuning of operating parameters;
Detailed technical report after each visit;
Access to priority technical support during business hours;
Contractual discount on corrective labour and parts.

Level 3
Premium / Critical Maintenance
For systems where power cannot fail. Suitable for data centres, hospitals, telecommunications, critical industry and infrastructure with demanding operational requirements.
Includes everything in Level 2, plus
Tailored preventive maintenance, with two to four visits per year;
Priority corrective technical assistance under a defined SLA;
Remote monitoring, where supported by the Riello UPS model;
Advanced battery diagnostics, including impedance and capacity testing depending on the technology;
Runtime testing under real or simulated load;
Thermal inspection, including thermography where applicable;
Battery replacement planning, including an end-of-life report;
Executive reports with risk indicators;
Complete technical history of the equipment;
Technical support for energy and redundancy management.

How does preventive maintenance work?
01
Initial System Assessment
Analysis of the UPS, associated switchboard, electrical connections, installation environment and operational criticality.
02
Scheduled Technical Checks
Inspections, measurements, functional tests and alarm analysis are carried out as defined in the maintenance plan.
03
Battery Condition Assessment
Inspection of the battery bank and, under advanced plans, individual analysis by block or string.
04
Functional Testing and Validation
Testing without a critical load connected, mains failure simulation or runtime testing, depending on the contracted service level.
05
Technical Report and Recommendations
A report covering equipment condition, service history, identified risks and preventive recommendations.
Prevent a power failure from becoming an operational shutdown.
Schedule a technical assessment with ONDISER and find the maintenance plan best suited to your facility.
